Meet Kelly
Hi. I'm Kelly, owner of Together We Mother and creator of the postpartum journal. Currently, I live in Charlotte, NC with my husband Daniel, our two children, Fox and Birdie, our dog Kevin, and our cat Mouse. We get a lot of comments over the fact our children have animal names while our dog has a human name. What can I say, we love it. Daniel and I got Kevin right after seeing the movie Up in theaters, and we named him after the crazy colorful bird.

I love reading. It might be one of my favorite things to do. Hands down my favorite book series of all time is Harry Potter. I'm a Gilmore Girls fanatic. I watched it when it was on air and would purchase the DVD sets of each season as soon as they came out. It would be impossible for me to tell you how many times I've seen it because I lost count years ago.

I love being outdoors. I love the woods and large bodies of water. I also really enjoy big cities. I don't own any colored clothes. I love admiring color on others but on myself feel the most comfortable in black or grey. I'm definitely what you would call a minimalist. Daniel frequently jokes he will come home one day to find I have given away our refrigerator. I have a big interest in sustainability and love making changes in our lives with that in mind. The inside paper of the journal is made from recycled paper, but the outer cover is not. With time I plan to change that. I have a lot to learn about the process and my impact on the world, but I find it exciting.

When Daniel and I had been married for three years, we moved across the country from Virginia to Seattle and lived for a year. We miss it so much. Eventually, we plan to make the PNW our forever home. Until then, we settle for talking about it every day.

I love taking photos. That's another hobby of mine. I have a very nice camera that I only barely know how to use, but it brings me so much joy to experiment with taking pictures of my kids and food.

While Together We Mother is my passion, I work full time as a software analyst for a banking software company. I love sharing about my journey as a mother and my experience with postpartum depression and anxiety. Please don't ever hesitate to reach out to me.
